Based in Dublin 3, we operate the complete range of mechanical preparation methods in-house. That matters, because no single method suits every floor — and a contractor who only owns a grinder will recommend grinding for everything. We choose the method the substrate actually needs.

Floor Preparation Methods We Provide

Diamond grinding — precision removal of coatings, adhesives, laitance and contamination, and the standard preparation for resin systems. Ideal for edges, details and controlled surface profiling.
Concrete floor grinding and levelling — heavier grinding to flatten uneven slabs, remove high spots and eliminate trip hazards before overlays or finishes.
Dust-free shot blasting — enclosed steel-shot preparation that profiles large open areas fast and clean, even in live facilities.
Floor coating removal and epoxy removal — complete stripping of failed paints, resins and adhesives.
Concrete floor repairs, floor stitching and mastic joint work — cracks, spalls and joints corrected so defects don’t telegraph through the new floor.
Degreasing and deep cleaning — via pressure washing where contamination, not profile, is the problem.

Matching the Method to the Floor

Choosing preparation is a judgment call we make daily: shot blasting covers large open warehouse slabs fastest; diamond grinding handles edges, thick adhesives and floors where blasting can’t reach; heavily contaminated or oil-soaked slabs may need grinding and chemical treatment; weak screeds sometimes need removal, not preparation. When we survey your Dublin site, we test the substrate — hardness, moisture, contamination, existing coatings — and specify accordingly, in writing. If you’re a main contractor or flooring installer, we also work as a preparation-only subcontractor to your specification.

All of our preparation plant runs with high-efficiency dust extraction, and shot blasting is fully enclosed — so we routinely prepare floors in operating warehouses, food plants and retail units across Dublin, working nights, weekends and in phased sections. Prepared areas can typically be primed or handed over immediately.
