There is a reason so much industrial floor painting in Dublin gets redone within two years — and it has nothing to do with the paint.

Irish Industrial Flooring has spent over three decades painting and refurbishing factory, warehouse and production floors across Dublin and Ireland, and in that time we have recoated hundreds of floors that failed early for the same reason: coatings applied to concrete that was never properly prepared. Floor paint does not fail because it wears through. It fails because it lets go.

That understanding shapes everything about how we work. We are not painting contractors who happen to do floors; we are industrial flooring specialists — based at Docklands Innovation Park, Dublin 3 — for whom the coating is the final ten percent of a process that begins with the slab itself.

What Professional Industrial Floor Painting Delivers?

A correctly specified and applied floor coating transforms how a facility performs, presents and complies:

      • A sealed, dust-free working environment — bare concrete sheds fine cement dust continuously onto stock, product and machinery; a coated floor ends it permanently.
      • Protection for the slab beneath — against oil, chemicals, tyre marking, impact and the daily abrasion of forklift and pallet-truck traffic.
      • Measurably improved safety — anti-slip finishes graded to your operations, and light-reflective colours that brighten working areas and reduce lighting costs.
      • Visible operational discipline — colour-zoned floors with crisp safety line marking signal a well-run facility to every auditor, customer and insurer who walks through it.
      • Asset value protected — a maintained floor is a maintained building; a failing one raises questions about everything else.

Coating Systems Matched to the Way You Operate

No serious contractor paints every floor with the same product. We specify from a full range of industrial coating systems according to traffic, exposure and required service life:

      • Epoxy floor coatings — the industrial standard: hard-wearing, chemical-resistant and available in high-build grades for demanding traffic. Where conditions call for a full resin build rather than a coating, we advise honestly and deliver it through our epoxy flooring service.
      • Polyurethane systems — greater flexibility, UV stability and colour retention for areas exposed to sunlight, thermal movement or steam cleaning.
      • Anti-slip formulations — graded aggregate finishes for wet process areas, ramps and loading bays.
      • Rapid-cure coatings — for facilities that cannot give us more than a weekend, returning floors to full traffic in hours rather than days.
      • Demarcation and zoning — walkways, hazard zones and bay markings integrated into the coating scheme, not painted over it as an afterthought.

The Preparation Standard That Sets Our Floors Apart

Every floor we paint in Dublin is mechanically prepared first — without exception. Depending on the slab’s condition, that means diamond grinding or dust-free shot blasting to strip laitance, failed coatings and contamination, and open a profile the new system can key into permanently. Defects are corrected through our concrete floor repair service; previous failed paint is stripped completely via floor coating removal rather than buried under another doomed layer.

It is slower than rolling paint onto a swept floor. It is also the entire difference between a coating that lasts eighteen months and one that lasts fifteen years — and it is why our clients repaint on their schedule, not their floor’s.

Delivered Around Your Production, Not Instead of It

Downtime is the hidden cost of every flooring project, so we engineer it out. Floors are painted in phased sections, overnight and across weekends; rapid-cure systems are specified where turnaround is critical; and access routes are sequenced with your operations team so production, picking and dispatch continue throughout. Facilities across Dublin — from Ballycoolin and Clondalkin to Citywest, Tallaght and the Docklands — have had complete floor refurbishments from us without losing a single operating shift.

      The Irish Industrial Flooring Standard

      1. Survey and honest specification — We assess your slab, traffic and exposure at your Dublin facility, then specify what the floor actually needs — which is sometimes less than you expected, and occasionally more. Either way, you’ll know why.
      2. Mechanical preparation — Ground or blasted to a sound, keyed substrate. Always.
      3. Repair and priming — Defects reinstated, joints addressed, penetrating primer applied.
      4. Application — Body and top coats applied to specified thicknesses by our own crews — never subcontracted.
      5. Marking and handover — Zoning and line marking applied, curing schedule confirmed, aftercare guidance provided in writing.

Our work holds up under scrutiny because it holds up under forklifts — as clients including Pressco Engineering and Tech Engineering have proven across Dublin.
